This is the primary loop through Kris-Mar Woods. The trailhead begins off of Hillcrest Dr. by a small parking area with a picnic table. The Frontier Loop widely circles around a valley, at the bottom of which is a twisty stream. At the halfway point, it descends to the bottom, crosses a bridge over the stream, then heads back up on the other side. The Upper Frontier Trail overlaps on the westerly side of this rolling loop trail.
