This trail makes for an easy, rolling stroll toward Cathedral Cove where you'll have expansive views across the jagged rock features that dot the cove. Some visitors choose to hike out to the Cathedral Cove Spur and back, but others continue south as the trail bends past the Inspiration Point intersection toward the Anacapa Campground and the trail to Pinniped Point.

For a complete loop that comes in under a mile in length, it's recommended to head toward Pinniped Point, continuing back past the water tank building to return to the Anacapa Ranger Station.

Or better still, head out on the Inspiration Point lollipop loop for another 0.7 miles to get the complete Anacapa Island experience.
