Description

The initial part of this trail is steep as it departs the main Scorpion Ranch area, and the trail maintains this incline until the first big turn. Thereafter, the trail leading up to the peak is more moderate, with a gradual trip leading back down to sea level. This trail affords beautiful views of the sea caves just past the first turn. You'll also see Little Scorpion Anchorage just before you start your climb northwest to the peak. Be sure to go see the scenic cove here. Once you climb to the top, you'll have an incredible view out to the west and into the valleys below. Plan on stopping to snack or eat when you arrive at Smugglers Cove.
