Description
The new trailhead off of OH 125 skips the big hill of the old route, but the view at the end is the same.
The route is a simple out-n-back, about 2-1/4 miles each way, mostly following a ridgeline. Look for numerous seasonal waterfalls along the first mile of trail. With the leaves down, the Devil's Teakettle can be seen across the valley from the trail just after the climb from the field.
This trail culminates in what might be my favorite view in Ohio. Be sure to take some time to relax and take it all in once you're at the top. There is an optional loop partway through the trail. Returning back to the parking lot, take a right for the section of trail through prairie openings.
Starts very easy and not muddy, middle of the trail is extremely muddy if any rain at all on a steep hill, last 1.2 miles are beautiful (uphill hiking)
