Dogs Leashed

Features Birding · River/Creek · Views · Wildflowers · Wildlife

This path is open from dawn to dusk, alcohol is prohibited on the path, and pets must be leashed at all times.

Overview

This path was a towpath and runs along the old Pennsylvania canal. The path is dirt, covered in cracker dust.

Description

The towpath provides a good view of Wildwood Lake on the east and the Pennsylvania Canal on the west. Beautiful scenery of both wetlands is the highlight of this trail, and wildlife such as wetland birds, songbirds, and turtles basking in the sun can all be enjoyed along its length.

You can park at one of three different parking spots, and restroom facilities are located along the way.

Flora & Fauna

There are lots of flowers here, so take a moment to enjoy them!
