Farewell gap is still snow covered at higher elevations. Trail is hard recognize, and getting through the gap is extremely sketchy. 7mi

Moderate climb beginning from Mineral King Ranger Station. Snow on pass makes it difficult to find trail. Plenty of water along the route.
