Description

This trail is primarily used to connect the Honeysuckle Trail with the Lower Dogwood Trail. This trail makes a "U" shape, ascending to Hot Springs Mountain and North Mountain on both sides of Hot Springs Mountain Drive.

From the road, heading east to Hot Springs Mountain will take visitors up a series to switchbacks to the Honeysuckle Trail and the picnic shelter located near the trail Junction. If instead you're headed west, you'll be treated to a stone staircase on your way to the Lower Dogwood Trail.

Climbing quickly in either direction, this trail provides a new perspective on the valley, and scenic views of the surrounding forest.

Flora & Fauna

Chipmunks and squirrels can be found in this mixed forest.
