Description
Near a pullout located about 1.5 miles northeast of Apgar, you'll find a humble trailhead with a little mileage sign. This fire trail climbs up in through trees in a nice forest. The trail goes up and down the ridgeline crossing a couple of small feeder streams. The trail provides no real views to speak of and the limited maintenance has you going over and under downfall. The work rarely feels worth the effort.
Highlights are the couple of feeder streams and Fish Lake found right before it crosses the lovely Sprague Creek, then this route joins up with the
Gunsight Pass Trail.

Flora & Fauna
Spring gives you flowers such as trillium with beargrass popping a bit later. Squirrels, deer, and chipmunks are fairly common. Forest birds are sprinkled throughout the way with a couple of waterfowl possible at Fish Lake.
