Description
This trail breaks off from the
Gunsight Pass Trail just up from the
Mt Brown Trail and heads up through a lush, wet forest hanging with moss. As you steadily gain elevation, the trees thin and more avalanche chutes are encountered, opening up views to the tall cliffs from Edwards Mountain and Mt. Brown.
As you approach the lake, the views looking up are immense and you cross many boulder fields until you get to the shores of the small lake nestled below a cliff band next to the campground.
