Bring bear spray. If taking the boat down the lake to Goat Haunt, check the schedule for running times. Boats only run from beginning of June to end of September. If coming from Canada, a passport is required.
Description
This short, steep trail takes you up the base of the mountains to the east of the Goat Haunt area behind the ranger station.
The forest is pleasant with intermittent views up the Waterton River drainage and out to the surrounding mountains. The lovely overlook at the end of the trail is the site of an old lookout with a nice look at Waterton Lake.
