Description

This short spur trail takes you down to the campground at Lake Ellen Wilson and the shores of the lake. This bowl features steep walls including the headwall which is Gunsight Pass. The trail itself works its way down through an alpine meadow with impressive views all around.

Flora & Fauna

Alpine flowers such as beargrass. Mountain goats, pika, and marmots frequent the area. Keep an eye out for bears and wolverines which are also seen.
