Description

This trail starts with a gentle jaunt up to the railroad tracks on a dirt road just south of Skyland. Once across the tracks, the trail enters the trees and gradually climbs up to the base of mountains that line Marias Pass. A couple of nice meadows give some great views of these mountains, but a majority of the time is spent in the trees. Beyond these meadows, the trail drops into the trees and basically stays there with little exception until the junction with the Firebrand Pass trail.
