Description

This trail connects the Goat Trail to the Western Head Trail and traverses some of the best scenery that Isle Au Haut has to offer. Each bend in the trail finds new and wonderful angles and views of the rocky Maine coastline. Considering the difficulty in reaching Isle Au Haut, this trail is arguably the best in Acadia National Park without the crowds of Mount Desert Island. Some sections of the trail are difficult to follow as the trail crosses some rocky beaches. If you find yourself lost in these sections, just hug the coastline until you find the trail again.
