Description

The Oakwood Meadow Trail is one of those trails that one wants to take his or her time on. Though peaceful, this trail is also very popular with dog owners. The route will take you along the west side of the creek and is heavily studded with oaks and other vegetation. There will be overhead shade once you get past the first 100 yards.

This route joins up with the Oakwood Valley Road, where visitors can finish a full loop instead of taking the trail as and out and back. For a more ambitious trip, continue on up to the Alta Ave. Trail for views of the bay around Sausalito and Tiburon.

Flora & Fauna

Riparian, oaks, and old cypress are on display all along this area.
