Leaving from the end of the Jackson Creek Road, the 612 Rd heads south uphill. Crossing over Jackson Creek hikers soon come to the junction of Lower Dan's and Middle Dan's Trails. Middle Dan's leaves on the Right (West) and Lower Dan's Trail to the left (east).

Continuing uphill, the 612 Rd passes through an open area under some power lines and curves towards the east. Several short trails that connect to the Timber Hill neighborhood branch off to the right (south). Just before the road ends at a water tower two short spur trails leave on the left (north) side of the road that lead to Chip Ross Park and Lower Dan's Trail.

In places more open and urban so expect to see less wildlife and more blackberry bushes.
