Description

The trail is an old road that is now gated and connects Blanchard Creek Rd to Mt Kit Carson Loop Rd. It climbs gently around the mountain and the trail runs generally north and south. There is minimal usage as most people opt to use the park's main entrance.

Users include the occasional mountain biker, equestrian, and rarely another hiker.

The trail is pretty well forested so the views are minimal, but the it's shaded most times of the day, which is great in the summer.
