Get away from the crowds without being too far off the beaten path, or by having to travel too far...!
This is the border of the Clifty Wilderness area. Wilderness restrictions apply in some places along this trail.
Description
Rock Bridge Trail is a popular loop in the Red River Gorge area. This loop is used to access
Swift Camp Creek Trail #219 and provides access into the Clifty Wilderness via that trail.
Features along Rock Bridge Trail include Creation Falls, Swift Camp Creek, and the stunning Rock Bridge. Rock Bridge is one of only a rare few natural arches with over flowing water in the area.
This loop alone is relatively short, but it is an important connection for the
Swift Camp Creek Trail #219 and the Turtleback Arch loop. It begins and ends at a well developed picnic area. The trail itself is paved with rough asphalt and has stairs in the steep sections. There is a nice viewing overlook for Creation Falls, and the trail is fairly well marked making this a nice, family friendly hike.
