Free parking is available at the trailhead. Start from the Passo Giau (a mountain pass at 2,236m) with unbelievable views in all directions.

Head north, straight towards the Ra Gusela rock tower. The trail will go to the left of the tower as it follows the base of the mountain, Nuvolau. Much of the trail is very rocky and slow going though still enjoyable if you take your time. Towards the end, the trail will climb even more before it ends at a 4WD road with access to Rifugio Nuvolau (mountain hut).
