Description

The Mount Franklin Trail starts at the junction with the Rock Harbor Trail, just beyond Three Mile Campground. It winds steadily towards Tobin Harbor before climbing towards the spine of Isle Royale, the Greenstone Ridge.

The trail opens up to some open rock, so keep an eye out for cairns to guide you through these sections as you continue to climb! The junction of the Greenstone Ridge Trail gives you the opportunity to continue on Lane Cove Trail and camp or make a turn in either direction and start the hike down the Greenstone Ridge Trail.

Nice walk to an overgrown high point with limited views. Easy to miss the “Summit”. 2mi
