Description

The Dobbin Grade Trail connects Bear Rocks Trail with the Rocky Ridge Trail to the west. It's 4.3 miles of open meadows, muddy bogs, and speckled forests. The elevation changes are manageable... but navigating the bogs can be tricky. Be prepared to get muddy while working your way through the bogs. Don't be surprised if you find yourself ankle deep in some sections! There's also some creek crossings that may require you to remove your boots (and socks)!

At about mile 2 you pass this trail's intersection with the Raven Ridge Trail and at mile 3 you pass Beaver View Trail before reaching the terminus at Rocky Ridge Trail.

Be prepared for a swamp crossing on Dobbin Grade Trail. This "trail" can sometimes disappear entirely, leaving you to your own devices to find the best (and driest) path through.

You'll have to navigate this stream crossing on the Dobbin Grade Trail. It is perhaps easiest to ditch your shoes and wade across this shallow stream.

Hiked from Raven Ridge to Beaver Dam only. Very, very wet and muddy, almost impassable in spots. Trail hard to follow in spots.
