Trailhead: Exit the I40 at Tramway and head North for 8.4 miles. Turn right onto Tramway Rd and follow for about a mile into the parking area.

This trail is used by those who want to hike up La Luz Trail and then ride the Tram back to their car. This is a typical Sandia foothills hike, though there is a significant elevation gain to reach La Luz Trail. There are numerous unnamed secondary trails in the area and it is easy to get sidetracked.
