The Ja Moo Koo Trail acts an extension of the Rainbow Loop Trail by adding an extra loop to the northeast. Coming from the water reservoir entrance of Rainbow Loop Trail, you'll reach the Ja Moo Koo Trail just after one mile where it bears north eventually looping back south for a total length of just under one mile at which point it returns to the Rainbow Loop Trail.

This particular loop features some very aggressive, rocky climbs and certain parts are not easily navigable, therefore requiring that you keep your eyes peeled so you don't wander off trail.

You can spot wildflowers in the spring/summer and there is an abundance of squirrels. As always be aware of snakes who may be sunning themselves on the rocks.
