Family Friendly Literally called a "family trail" this is perfect for getting the kids into the woods and away from their screens.

Description

The Bucca Family Trail is an easy flat trail that is perfect for the entire family. It starts near the hikers parking lot on Nolen Drive inside of Monte Sano State Park just off of the South Plateau Loop. Unlike most trails in this area, this trail is relatively devoid of rocks and roots. If you were to offer a class on hiking on trails, this would be your entry level 101 course.

Starting out the trail meanders back and forth, just to make it a little more interesting. Along the way, the trail intersects with the Bog Trail. Just before the two-mile mark it makes an abrupt turnaround and heads back north ending at the Fire Tower Trail.

For more information about this trail check out my article on Huntsville Outdoors.
