The trail leads to a high alpine lake with spectacular views. You can also access the Canadian Trail, Kelly Lake Trail, and the N. Canadian Yurt on the way.

The trail is relatively flat and very wide (used by vehicles in winter) until the final 2 miles, which has plenty of loose rocks and is very steep. About half of your elevation gain occurs here. Save plenty of energy and water for the push up to the lake. You'll be rewarded at the top.
