Description

The Pacific Crest Trail covers thousands of miles from here all the way into California. For this part of the trail you'll venture into some of the most beautiful sights Washington State has to offer. From sweeping valleys to snow covered mountains. Plan accordingly as this trail is not for beginners.

There are plenty scenic opportunities for pictures along the trail so make sure you bring your camera along. About 4 miles in, near Pass Creek, the trail can get boggy with melting snow and rain water, but it should be suitable for the summer season. As you get closer to the 10-mile mark, you'll be near the snow-capped mountain tops of Bonanza Peak which offer much cooler climates to hikers.

Between miles 14-16, you'll be able to see the valleys below which contain snow covered ravines and lush forests in the distance. After enjoying the higher peaks, the trail winds back down through the valleys to the Glacier Peak area.

Flora & Fauna

Ferns, salmonberry, vine maple, alder, big leaf maple, western hemlock, Douglas fir, and western red cedar make up the majority of the flora and fauna here.
