Description
The trailhead is at the west end of the campground, with the trail starting by the dumpster. There is a little climb at the beginning and a lot of rocks. if you have already done some miles, be careful here, very careful.
If you are just getting started, you still need to pay attention to the rocky section through the first mile. The trail flattens out some after you get around the first point and is sandy singletrack with some rocks clumped together here and there. In the second mile, it is mostly flat with a small climb at the end and then there is a short downhill section with some rocks to navigate. Where the trail gets back to sand is a good place to see some buffalo as you head back towards
White Rocks Loop Road. This trail is a lot of fun and has views of the lake and Nevada to the west.
Flora & Fauna
Buffalo are seen most often on the southern end of the trail.
