There are multiple trail heads along this route, you can find most of them clearly through the satellite imagery. You gain net elevation as you head towards the northernmost point in Traveler's Rest and lose net elevation as you head towards south Greenville.

Once on the trail, it is very straightforward as long as you pay attention to the signs and mile markers.
