This trail, like so many in Western PA, has a climb in it that makes it ideal for starting a hike, but not so much when finishing.

It starts by the Pool, park at the ballfield, and uses a very brief section of the Rachel Carson Trail to lead you into the woods. It wraps around the pool, over Babcock Blvd (be careful) and finally passes over the ALL Purple Blaze before leading to the Purple/Black Dot Blaze, or the Koto Buki Trail. Either purple blazed trail will lead you to the same place.
