A climb to the top from either direction leads to a beautiful upper section and a mellow descent.

Description

This trail can start at either the spillway to the east or at the entrance to the lodge at the north end. You immediately begin by climbing (from either direction) before the trail plateaus into a rolling, mile long, upper stretch. Typically muddy with "streams" running down the trail at the ascents/descents, this trail can be an interesting adventure.

Also, it's a great addition to the Red/Blue Blaze, which creates a loop around the lodge. However, it is not an easy 9'ish mile loop, with lots of ups and downs, doubling back, and little flat terrain.
