Description

Great Escape starts on the south side of Gemini Bridges Road at a small trailhead connecting to Getaway Trail and Arth's Corner.

If you're interested, there's a viewpoint at the very beginning of this trail that provides an incredible vantage of Gemini Bridges.

From here, the trail is wavy slickrock, for the most part. Follow the painted stripes as a general guideline. The impressive La Sal Mountains become predominant in the background as you work your way down the route to the west. A significant portion of this route travels over oceans of slickrock, imbuing you with the spirit of backcountry adventure.

Continue straight when you come to an intersection with a jeep road. From here the trail continues over the sea of red sandstone, with a few more ups and downs, to a 'T' junction with Little Canyon.
