This trail starts out very gradual on smooth red dirt singletrack through Junipers and cacti. It quickly joins with Ridge Trail for a very short section before branching to the right and climbing steadily.

The ascent is slightly strenuous with a fairly steep grade, some loose sections, and lots of rocks, like many of the hills in this area. You'll top out on the ridge, with nearly 360-degree views. The final section descends to Old Post Trail.
