Description

This trail begins at Blyth Park in Bothell just north of Seattle proper, and ends at the Tolt River bridge east of Duvall. The trail is a combination of doubletrack access roads, singletrack, paved trail and paved/dirt roads.

The first mile of the run from Blyth Park is a mile up singletrack trail. I would suggest trail shoes for this part. The rest of the run is wide dirt path under power lines so there is enough room to run w/ a group. A tricky part is finding your way over I-405 but once you do, it is really quite easy. This set of rolling hills makes for a great training run and definitely will work your legs.

The most popular section of this trail begins at what is known as Heart Attack Hill, coming off of the Sammamish River paved trail, and ends just before the very steep descent to the Snoqualmie Valley (approximately 7 miles).

Flora & Fauna

The surroundings are residential, semi-wooded valley and some densely-wooded sections. You also get a good mix of sun and shade on this trail. You'll see a lot of woodland birds as well!
