Bikes are allowed on this trail- from the junction with the
Glen Trail located 0.5 miles north of the
Stewart Trail to the Glen Campground
Description
From the junction with
Glen trail, enjoy a brief descent before beginning the climb to Glen Camp in and out of several dense, lushly wooded valleys. The shady, dark trail wends its way through a canopy of mossy trees and fern covered hillsides. Enter a eucalyptus grove and then arrive at Glen Camp.
Glen Camp is a quiet and secluded camp deep within a wooded valley protected from ocean breezes. It is less crowded and a shorter distance to the trailhead than other campgrounds in Point Reyes, but it offers no views or sounds of the ocean. (12 sites, water, bathrooms, permits required)
Leave Glen Camp behind and continue along the Glen Camp Loop uphill through slightly more open terrain. Soon after the junction with
Greenpicker, the trail ends at a 4-way intersection with the
Coast Glen Spur and a mid-section of the
Glen Trail.
Flora & Fauna
Live oak, moss, eucalyptus and ferns.
