Description

This fantastic trail climbs up and gently goes up and down around a bench above the Yampa River. Views of the town and ski area abound. The Overlook Trail (a short and easy extension) should not be skipped! On your way back you'll pass through aspen groves and a neat section through small rocky bluffs that kind of feel like a tunnel.

This is suitable for younger hikers willing to negotiate a few rocky sections.

One of my favorite trails so far this year. Lots of wild flowers along the trail. Can hear the road traffic from the trail which is kind of a bummer.
