Description

This contouring trail leads from the Colorado River Valley up to the Grand Ditch Trail. The trail contours to the south for roughly half of its length before finally turning nearly 180 degrees in one switchback. Along the way you'll pass some small ponds and over a couple of intermittent streams.

Red Mountain Trail terminates at the Valley View campground, directly across Grand Ditch Trail.

Flora & Fauna

Moose are sometimes seen in this valley. Additionally, many types of wildflowers are found in the area.
