This paved, multi-use path is part of the Eagle Valley Regional Trail System. The path can be traveled in sections, in any direction, and has many access points. Although most of the route is on dedicated path, some sections are on glorified sidewalk or road shoulder. Go slow and beware of dogs, kids, bikes, cars, and people unfamiliar with the area!

Starting from the west end of Edwards at Hillcrest Road, follow the path along highway 6, before crossing highway 6 at Edwards Village Blvd towards the Riverwalk shopping area. Use caution at this chaotic intersection. Head downhill past Main St. towards the Eagle River and take a sharp right/east to pass between Riverwalk and the Eagle River. Enjoy the impressive landscaping and inviting benches before crossing the bridge and switchbacking up to the Berry Creek Rec Center area.

After passing ball fields and residential areas, turn south on Miller Ranch Road briefly before heading east again, along the wide path paralleling highway 6. This section that curves away from the road and runs along the Eagle River is one of the best. Enjoy views up-valley from the Nottingham Park area, then proceed towards the Westin/Beaver Creek gondola area with it's lovely, sculpted riverfront.

Cross under the busy Avon Road and switchback up to street level. The official path peters out at this point, but to continue the walk, take Hurd Lane east through quiet neighborhoods before turning south on Stone Bridge Road. Re-emerge on highway 6 and parallel it on widened sidewalk past golf courses with occasional views of the Eagle River.

After tunneling under I70, the path devolves into hugging the shoulder of highway 6 as it traverses the dingy industrial parts of Eagle-Vail. This unpleasantness ends mercifully at Kayak Ct. where the path re-starts for a glorious, but all-to-short stretch along the picturesque Eagle River. The Eagle Valley Paved Path ends here at Dowd Junction, but you can hop on the Gore Creek Valley Trail to continue towards Vail or join highway 24 towards Minturn.
