Looking south-east on the descent near the west end of the trail. The trail is quite faint. Fire was in 2018.

Hera Buckmoth caterpillar digging a hole from where it will emerge later this season as a moth. Quite alien looking with its yellow circles and its spiky spines.
The gap in the hedge ahead helps keep you on the trial through this thick grassy area.
Wild rose bushes flourish along the trail.
