Steep slopes guarded by the huge, tall cedars, drop down to the creek (not visible) to the left.
Hiking through the western red cedars, be sure to stop and closely admire their beautiful, intricate needles.
Some fall color amid the dark green conifers along the Rathdrum Mountain trails.
Reservoir Ridge Trail crosses the North Fork of Spring Creek in the dense forest near its junction with Majestic Passage.
Majestic Passage drops into the forest near its junction with Stormking Parkway. So when hiking it down from Stormking Parkway, look carefully to find this right turn, and avoid a side trail to nowhere on the left that stays in the open terrain.
Stately western red cedars dominate the forest along the North Fork of Spring Creek, where Reservoir Ridge Trail runs. The creek can be seen in the dark area on the lower left.
