When you get to the island, there is a picnic table where you can enjoy a snack while others play along the river side.
The trail passes underneath the bridge as it follows the shoreline of the French Broad.
In the Fall, the leaves on the surrounding hills and mountains are lit up in yellows, reds, and oranges.
There are nice views of the French Broad River, bridge, and surrounding hills from the trail.
