A bison walks along the trail, with hazy mountains in the background. This reminded our hiking party of hiking in the Appalachian Mountains, especially in TN and NC.
Early in the spring and summer, the Lamar River crossing can be tricky because of the snow melt. Later in the summer, or in light snow years, its not as bad. Your feet will definitely get wet!
