Large pines everywhere

View from the west shore at the very north end of Wynoochee Lake, where the Wynoochee River begins to widen.

This classic Pacific Northwest forest has plenty of ferns, moss, and lichens, but it's not old growth. I met an old-timer who used to log these forests and now comes back to throw his sleeping bag on a mat and sleep under the stars.
