The Long Ridge Trail descends into the woods behind the Wallace Stegner Bench.
The Wallace Stegner Bench has some amazing views late in the day.
Looking west towards the Pacific Ocean.
Beautiful rolling hills surround the trail.
A handful of minutes off of Hickory Oaks Trail, you'll find the humble Turtle Rock. Venture here at the right time of day, and the sun will reward you with grass ablaze and gilded treetops … before the famous low clouds descend to test your rain jacket.
