The views start to open up almost immediately as one begins climbing on Crows Nest Lookout Trail. Creeks of the Pine Creek drainage are in the deep valley beyond the nearby ridges.

Pine Creek is crossed on a sturdy bridge here, at the start of Crows Nest Lookout Trail. Make sure to load up with water here. It's a long hard climb to the lookout.
