Many old tree markers are still intact along the way , usually to mark a turn in the trail .
Much of the oak in the area is a haven for fungus ( Sapwood rot ) or ( Cerrena unicolor ) Wood below fungal shelves is yellowish to white, crumbly and decayed; bark around fungal shelves is killed and often falls off
Berrys are growing in various quantities as you pass by .
Be wary of Low overhanging branches ....as they can cause head injuries .
Top of ridge. Wooden stairs. Was lovely at night. Could hear water dripping off the rocks.
You'll encounter outcroppings of Rock Ledges at the Start .
