There's plenty of parking at the trailhead for High View Nature Trail.
The trails in Black Rock Canyon are all well marked with signs like these.
Traveling clockwise on the trail, the first set of steps is manageable.
Part way up the trail, look back toward the campground for a sprawling view of your desert surroundings.
This view looking back at the parking lot from the peak gives you an idea of the elevation change along the High View Nature Trail.
Look east from the trail for picturesque views of Joshua Tree National Park.
