This is another landmark section of the trail that has eroded extremely bad in the past year from flooding.
I looked at maps from 1887, 1943 and 1956 for the area and this was a road to a homestead!! I'm excited to get a pic of the homestead location now that I know about where it is!!
This is a great area for birding and wildlife watching
Another perpetually muddy section.
This is a neat opportunity to see the root systems of trees.
This is a really neat example of ground slump...where the creek has caused this 50ft diameter section of dirt to fall downwards about 5 feet.
