Largest of Pioneer Basin Lakes. Taken from the climb to 6th and 7th lakes. The Third Recess is in the left center with Mt. Mills behind it. The Fourth Recess is on the extreme left.
At 11,200 feet, this is the highest of the lakes in Pioneer Basin. It is a large lake that extends behind the very low ridge on the right side.
