While it looks like the trail follows the road off into the distance, it will actually turn to the right at the bottom of the hill and head back to the visitor center. It does provide a good view of the surrounding area.

The Hans Loop Trail makes its way through this little valley and is flanked by evergreen forests.

When the Sawmill Trail meets up with the Hans Loop Trail, there is a bench for you to rest and enjoy the views.
In the spring, flowers bloom along the trail adding wonderful color to the area.
This rock formation sits off to the side of the trail on the right-hand side. Some of the rocks have started to fall away and sit next to the trail.
Due to its proximity to Colorado Springs and some Air Force bases, a jet might interrupt your hike as it flies over.
