You can see the trail meandering through the high plains. You'll notice there is no shade, so make sure to bring plenty of water, apply sunscreen, and wear a hat.
Looking back, you get a great view of the monument and the high plains.
On the left side of the trail, you get a great view of the high plains which stretch off into the distance.
The views from the trail are stunning, especially if there are clouds in the sky. Looking back at the monument from the trail really conveys the vastness of the plains.
