Large nest of Africanized Bees. Encountered while heading up to the Pass Mountain Route. There is no place to run if these guys get mad.
A little cloudy, but this is the view from the backside of the mountain - the eastern part of the trail.

A little cloudy, but this is the view from the backside of the mountain - the eastern part of the trail.
Remember to pay the parking fee if you start within the park. Example of the Maricopa Trail badge and arrow that you should follow.
From the summit of One Mountain, enjoy beautiful views of Pass Mountain in the distance.

This is the narrow top of Pass Mountain. Lots of scrambling over and around rocks.
